Mesut Ceylan is a Ph.D. candidate and doctoral researcher at the Center for Digital Health Interventions at ETH Zurich. His research centers on advancing digital biomarker discovery and health informatics through innovative applications of machine learning and advanced statistical techniques, with a particular focus on cerebrospinal fluid analysis. His work aims to bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI technologies and transformative healthcare solutions.
Mesut holds M.Sc. in Computer Science with a specialization in Data Science from the University of Zurich. His academic and research interests are complemented by practical experience in computational applications. Prior to joining ETH Zurich, he worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Canaria, a U.S.-based startup, where he developed NLP and LLM-driven algorithms and engineered scalable vector and graph database solutions for complex data retrieval challenges. His multidisciplinary background also includes business and analytics-oriented roles, such as his work as a Data Analyst at ETH Zurich, where he collaborated on data-driven projects, and his earlier experiences at Bayer Turkey, where he gained insights into the intersection of healthcare and management.
